Worship Service Groups
Our worship work group program is a new attempt to empower our members to serve in church on Sunday mornings. Part of being a part of the worshiping community at Emmanuel is helping fill the roles needed for worship. Each month one of the six work groups is in charge of all leadership for service, worship and fellowship. The specific ways that we serve are,
Each work group has one or two church council representatives assigned to the group. They are in charge of organizing, leading and calling members to fill all the needs for Sunday worship on their given month. Each group is responsible for two months out of the year. If you are not assigned to a work group, please make sure to let the Vicar or the council president know and we'll get you added to a group. We try to keep each household assigned to one group, so you may serve as an entire family on a Sunday.
- Greeting/Hospitality
- Ushering
- Reading the Bible Lessons
- Assisting with Communion
- Running the Fellowship hour (coffee, cookies/treats, cleaning)
- Acolyte (6th -8th grade)
