Confirmation for the 2022 - 2023 year started in September. This year we have six students in the 6th - 8th grade confirmation class. Our studies this year our focused on our Luther beliefs as recognized in Martin Luther's Catechism. Thanks again to Tammy Gregerson as she continues to assist me with the confirmation class.
On October 30, 2022, we had four of our confirmation students publicly confess their faith through Affirmation of Baptism. The confirmands recognized this year were Grady Belfrage, Landon Miller, Addison Stansberry and Emily Stansberry as pictured below.

2021- 2022
On December 12th, our confirmation class, along with Tammy Gregerson and myself, experienced a Sudanese worship service to present to them a new culture and people of faith. Their unorthodox worship service with sudden outbreaks of singing and dancing was a shock to our traditional services they were familiar with, but the exposure was educational for them to see faith exhibited in a new light. How they welcomed us with open hearts, love the same God we love, and offered us a meal. I have invited them to a return trip to our congregation to join in a worship service.

We held our first Confirmation session on September 22, 2021. The confirmation program continues to be a three-year rotational pattern of Old Testament, New Testament, and Lutheran Confessions for 6th through 8th grade students, with this year’s meetings focused on the Old Testament.
For this first session we reviewed the Old Testament books and the breakout of the categories these books are grouped into as presented in the video at the following link.

Rally Sunday was held on September 12, 2021. What an exciting day it was as we celebrated the start of a new school and church year for our youth and teachers. For our first-year confirmands, Cameron Brummond, Harley Hansen, and Kallie Moore, we presented them with their confirmation bibles and conducted first communion with their families. It was a very positive day with a great turnout and fellowship that followed.

2020 - 2021
Confirmation started on September 23, 2020, for students in the 6th through 8th grade with 12 students in attendance. Meetings are being held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the months of September through April. Meetings are being held from 6:00 to 7:00, with some students attending in person and some remotely because of the current pandemic. The confirmation program continues to be a three-year rotational pattern of Old Testament, New Testament, and Lutheran Confessions, with this year’s meetings focused on the New Testament. Our first week session focused on the background and books of the New Testament, and how the New Testament relates to the Old Testament writings. My thanks to Tammy Gregerson for assisting me in these efforts. See pictures below from the first class.
